Overview

Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology is a community college in Northern Ontario.Northern College was established during the formation of Ontario’s college system in 1967. Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology were established on May 21, 1965.The college  focuses on providing practical, hands-on experiences. Faculty have excellent relationships with employers and networks of contacts that can help you land a job in your chosen field. Annual enrolment is approximately 1,500 full-time students. Annual part-time and continuing education enrolment exceeds 11,000 students. Northern College is also home to the world-renowned Haileybury School of Mines.The Porcupine campus offers a 120 room residence that is independently operated.

Location & Facilities

The college has four campuses in North Eastern Ontario.The first campus was built in Kirkland Lake, followed by Porcupine, Haileybury, and Moosonee.The cost of living is lower than in large cities.

 

Northern College offers the following services to its students: Online Housing List, Graduate Placements, Centre for Students with disabilities, Library Resource Centres, Student Success Centres, Job Connect, Facilities, Aboriginal Services, Student Health Insurance Information & Forms, and Coping With Exam Stress.
